S/V Just Imagine is a Georgia based 1995 Privilege 42 catamaran for sale by owner

This Boat Owner requires financial settlement only ... trades will not be considered!!

S/V Just Imagine is a Privilege 42 cruising catamaran, built by Jeantot Marine, in Les Sables d'Olonne, France in 1995. The Privilege 42 replaced the very successful Privilege 39, a popular boat in the bareboat charter trade. She continues the tradition of a luxury craft designed for families and friends or charter work. The new design is much faster than the 39, making her an exciting, yet safe boat to sail. The larger hulls add three additional feet of length and one additional foot in width, while the interior space has also been enlarged and features 6’5" headroom in the saloon and 6’4" in the hulls.

The multihull industry was impressed, as both the Privilege 45 and 42 were chosen as 'Boat of the Year' in the USA , by Cruising World in 1995 and 1996.

S/V Just Imagine is a sloop rigged catamaran, there is however a small staysail that can be hanked onto the baby stay. There are two tramps, two deck showers in the sugar scoops, two swim ladders, two three bladed fixed props, 30 mm shafts, three cabins (owners version), two heads, one stand up shower.

Privilege Catamarans not only set the benchmark in construction quality but also includes a warm, cherry wood interior. This 1995, 42-ft Privilege catamaran with 3 cabins, is an owners version that has never been chartered. While living aboard for over ten years, we have continually updated to create a perfect cruising catamaran including all new Garmin electronics, upgraded Lewmar windlass, Rocna anchor, DC refrigeration, four solar panels, solar water heater, wind generator, 8 house batteries, mostly LED lighting, 10 foot Caribe dinghy with 15 hp Mercury outboard.

Hulls are constructed of Divinycell foam core and multidirectional glass fibers using the vacum bag process for resin saturation and bonding. High strength areas of the boat are solid glass, and the keels reinforced with Kevlar. Each hull has a forward watertight collision compartment with crash bulkheads, which are just two of the six watertight compartments found throughout the boat. She is classified as "unsinkable" by the French Government.

All upgrades were intended to make living aboard or extensive cruising possible and enjoyable. The Privilege 42 can handle two to three tons of gear without a serious adverse effect on her performance, and this boat is loaded with options. As a cruising catamaran, her sailing capabilities in open-ocean conditions simply make her the right choice as a long distance cruiser.
